What a page load involves
Precious Handyman is a static website. Each page is a file of HTML, served with a stylesheet and images. The domain runs behind Cloudflare, which delivers those files and protects the site against abuse. To do that, Cloudflare processes the connection data every web request carries: your IP address, the address you asked for, and the user-agent string your browser sends. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy, and Cloudflare may set cookies of its own as part of it. What reaches us from this layer is an aggregate traffic count.
Fonts
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which see the request the way any web server sees a request.
What the contact form stores
The contact page carries a form. When you send it, the form posts to an endpoint on this same domain and writes one row to a database we read. That row holds the name, email address, subject and message you typed, plus three items the request itself carries: the IP address the submission came from, your browser's user-agent string, and the date and time. Only the message is required; the other fields can be left empty.
We use a submission to answer you and, where it reports an error in a guide, to document the correction. There is no automatic deletion schedule: a row stays in that database until you ask for it to be removed, or until we clear it.
How to ask for removal
To see or remove what a submission holds, send a message through the contact form with the date and the subject line of the original, and say what you want done. We act on the request, and confirm by reply if you left an address.
